Techniques Following a short assessment and debrief of your riding style, our qualified instructors will be able to pinpoint which area of your riding needs attention. We will then give you a demonstration of how we ride so you can see the difference between the two styles. You will be introduced to all the aspects of advanced riding such as observation, position, planning, braking, throttle use, cornering and many other aspects that makes a good advance rider. At first it will feel as if someone is sitting behind you guiding you through every stage of advance riding techniques, pointing out distant hazards and dangers, assessing each situation and planning your approach to corners or hazards. This includes the correct times to reduce speed, what positions to adopt, what gear you should be in and smooth use of the throttle to negotiate the danger. As the course progresses your new skills and ability will be constantly monitored and your average speed, particularly on corners, will improve considerably. You will be able to gauge your own progress and enjoyment as your skills improve during the ride. Wet weather riding is a situation most riders dread, but your confidence in the rain will increase considerably due to a smoother riding style and relaxed approach to the dangers of wet roads. All of these areas will be addressed in depth until you are able to confidently master the correct procedures, co-ordinate them and become a far safer rider. Where We Train All of our Advanced Road Craft courses are carried out either on the AHG Driving Centre Track (Perth International Airport) or on well planned routes to introduce, develop and perfect your advanced riding skills as the course progresses.
